Here is a paper piece (or foundation piece) pattern you may feel free to use. I printed it on one 8.5x11 sheet and the quilt finished at about 6"x8". For sample mug rugs, see this post.
I have not included here detailed instructions for paper piecing, but this pattern would be easy to do for anyone with a little experience.
I cut the borders off in four pieces so that each piece has one cornerstone. The center part must be done in two pieces (1, 2, and 3 together and 4A, 4B, and 4C together) and then sewn together.
The star is appliqued after the quilting is done.
Good luck! Leave a comment on this post or send me an email (christinacreating AT yahoo DOT com) with pics or a link if you should use the pattern. Thank you. :)
